Robert Viola's Labship is the film and television props arm of LV Scientific. It hires and sells genuine laboratory instruments, glassware and furniture, from 1920s vintage pieces to modern equipment, for film, TV, photography, theatre and commercials, with on-set assistance and transport for anything from a single flask to a 500 kg instrument.
The business is based near Reading, within easy reach of the major studios, and wanted a website that spoke directly to production designers and props buyers.
Props buyers work fast and visually. They want to see what is available, know that it is real rather than a replica, and be able to get it on set quickly. The site had to make that case in seconds.
It also had to stand apart from the main LV Scientific site, which serves laboratories rather than film crews, while sharing the same stock and contact details.
Digital House built a dedicated Joomla site with a current stock section, a gallery of film and TV credits, an Instagram link and a simple enquiry route. The copy emphasises authenticity, the 1920s-to-present range and the same-day delivery options available locally.
The site was built alongside LV Scientific so the two share a consistent base while each speaks to its own audience.

Robert Viola's Labship now has its own identity online, giving production teams a direct route to genuine laboratory props and the people who know how to operate them.
The site supports a growing list of screen credits and gives the business a professional showcase to send to studios.
A niche business deserves a site that understands its audience, and this one does.
It is a good example of giving a specialist service room to stand on its own.
